Hongshan Culture Jades

Thank you Dong! Complete set of jades from the Neolithic Hongshan Culture. These are very eye-catching stamps, the artifacts themselves are raised and contoured, and are replicated in iridescent colour at a reduced size in the background. These jades were found in tombs from northeast China, and are among the earliest found in China. On left is a type called a 'pig-dragon', it has a perforation, and may have been suspended. At centre is a phoenix, and at right a human figure. The phoenix and figurine were unearthed at Niuheliang archaeological site. Issued: April 9 2017.
