Archaeological Treasures


In 1980 14 definitive, 'Archaeological Treasures' were released featuring many artifacts from the Cyprus Museum in Nicosa, where this was postmarked. Left is a bronze cow statuette from Vouni Palace c. 5th century BCE, which may be associated with the school of Myron the Sculptor, of the famed statue, 'Discobolus.' This gold necklace is from the 7th century BCE, found in the Sanctuary of Aphrodite at Arsos. The crowns of upper and lower Egypt are separated by a bee motif on the agate pendant.
