At centre right is a 1963 Air Post stamp of the Great Temple, one of many huge stone structures relocated to Abu Simbel after the construction of the Aswan High Dam would have flooded their original location under Lake Nasser.
On left is a strip of the alabaster 'Tutankhamun's Lamp' from 1959.
From the 1962 '15 years of UNESCO' 2v set. The stamps proclaim 'Save the Treasures of Nubia' with an image of Abu Simbel. This world movement began in 1959
Thank you Luis!
At top is Abu Simbel, a stamp token of diplomatic relations with Egypt
from 2010. Did you know the 'DH' stamp stands for Depois da Hora or after the hour of 4 o'clock? Meaning the letter would not go out until the next day.
Lower stamp has paleontologist Peter Lund commemorated with the
background of the Lagoa Santa cave, where he famously discovered
Pleistocene megafauna and human remains.
A photo I took of the relocated Great Temple. I was surprised (and amused) at the amount of graffiti from the 1800s!
