Postmark for Calusa Heritage Day at the Randal Research Center, which had archaeology tours and lectures scheduled throughout the day. The Calusa lived in Southwest Florida where they had the unfortunate chance of being one of the first groups encountered by the Spanish. Extensive shell middens and artifacts from wet sites attest to their maritime lifestyle.
