Thanks Pierre! This FDC shows 1 of 3 UNESCO stamps that were released in 1984. This is the rock-cut monolithic church of Saint George in the town of Lalibela, Ethiopia and dates to the 12-13th cent.
In 2003, geophysical surveys were undertaken and anomalies were found surrounding this Ethiopian monolithic church of St. George site as possible future excavations, stay tuned!
