Saepinum

Thank you Salvatore! The left 2011 stamp is from a 4v 'Tourism' issue and shows the ruined Bovianum Gate of Saepinum. Originally a Samnite town, it fell to the Romans in 293 BCE, then to the Saracens in 882 CE.
