Thank you Mirch! Another installment from the 'Mammal Fossils in Slovenia'. Although this mastodon likely dates to the Pliocene, this species Anancus arvernensis, lived into the Pleistocene. Apparently you can see the cross-section of this mandibular molar on the HP Reveal app. I tried and couldn't figure it out, it kept wanting me to add an 'overlay'? If anyone has done this successfully, I'd love to see the image. Issued: March 23 2018.
